To już 20 lat najważniejszego święta reggae w Polsce. Ostróda wychowuje całe pokolenia fanów pozytywnych wibracji i dla całego świata spełnia rolę jamajskiej ambasady na Wisłą.

Na przestrzeni czasu festiwal przeszedł długą drogę z małego dziedzińca ostródzkiego zamku, poprzez „Białe Koszary” do wyjątkowego terenu opustoszałej jednostki wojskowej w centrum miasta, „Czerwonych Koszar”. Hasło „Ostróda” stało się w Polsce synonimem słowa reggae i główną marką promocyjną miasta.
Od kilku lat to stała sprawdzona formuła: 4 dni, główne sceny Amfiteatr, Red Stage i Green Stage oraz kilka scen dodatkowych. Wydarzenia muzyczne uzupełniają warsztaty, działania z dziećmi, spotkania, projekcje filmów, wystawy i konkursy. Smaku dodają barwne stoiska i uśmiech na twarzach tysięcy uczestników. Festiwal słynie w świecie ze swojej wyjątkowej atmosfery. Tutaj liczy się nie tylko muzyka, bo reggae to więcej niż niż muzyka. Stąd wywozi się pozytywną szkołę życia i inspiracje do działania. Tutaj pulsuje barwna karaibska kultura.
W 2014 roku organizatorzy z Positive Music Promotion zostali wyróżnieni odznaką „Zasłużony dla kultury polskiej” przez Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego. W 2018 roku władze miasta Ostróda podpisały pierwszą w historii kraju umowę partnerską ze swoim jamajskim odpowiednikiem Ocho Rios.
Ostróda Reggae Festival jest imprezą o światowej marce, będącą nierozerwalną częścią kalendarza najważniejszych muzycznych imprez każdego lata w Polsce.

It is already 20 years of the most important reggae festival in Poland. Ostróda brings up generations of fans of positive vibrations and plays the role of the Jamaican embassy in this part of Europe.

Throughout the years, the festival has come a long way from the small courtyard of the Ostróda Castle, through the White Military Base to the unique area of the deserted military complex in the city center, the Red Military Base. "Ostróda" has become synonymous with the word „reggae” and reggae is the main promotional brand of this Polish city located in the „land of 1000 lakes” called Masuria.
For several years, it has been a stable proven formula: 4 days, main stages: Amphitheater, Red Stage and Green Stage, several additional stages. Music events (live shows, sound systems) are complemented with workshops, activities for children, meetings, film screenings, exhibitions and competitions. It is flavoured with colorful stands and smile on the faces of thousands of participants. Colorful Caribbean culture is blooming in Ostróda. The festival is famous in the world for its unique atmosphere. It's not just music that counts here, because reggae is more than just music. A positive school of life and inspiration to act for a change are here.
In 2012, Ostróda was the place for the official celebrations of Jamaica’s 50th anniversary of independence. In 2014, the promoters from Positive Music Promotion received the "Meritorious for Polish Culture" award by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2018, the city of Ostróda signed the first partnership agreement in the country's history with its Jamaican counterpart Ocho Rios.
Ostróda Reggae Festival is an event with a global brand and an essential event in the calendar of the most important Summer events in Poland.
